Pie flaps

I was having a dream where some friend was sitting across a cafe table from me, and while we were talking, they received their order of pie, which was sort of like one of those Hostess half-circle pies but homemade and a little bigger. Not a slice, but a completely sealed half-circle tart thingie, maybe there’s even a name for it.

Anyway, they carefully split the crust around the edges, flipped the ‘lid’ open, removed the filling to a second smaller plate, and just ate the apple filling. As we were talking, I was distracted by the two semicircular pieces of opened-up pie crust just sitting there, and I remember thinking, “I would totally eat those pie flaps.”

As all the other details of last night’s dreams fade into the morning, I still remember pie flaps.
