Don’t wake up there!

I was conversing with myself in a dream and I said, “Explore all you want, but whatever you do, DON’T WAKE UP THERE. It’s very hard to get out of there once you do. Wait… no – stop! You’re…” and everything faded.

My eyes took in the early morning light in my own room, and I had a convincing feeling that this is not where I’m meant to be. This felt reassuring somehow, like I didn’t need to take this stupid dream world too seriously while I was in it. The remnant dream-feelings dissipated by the time I’d dropped Sydney at school. Mostly.
