Sydney got the skates she's been wanting. The 4th time we went out on the path behind our house, she was on her own and very happy about it.
We were in Fort Marcy Park to have a picnic, and we ran all the way to the bottom. She's never had a sideache before. We went hiking in the Eldorado preserve in early February, it was beautiful even though there were some very, very muddy spots. Always climbing the rocks...
Yeah. I can smile. My 4 year old documentarian caught me in an awkward moment. That's my old junkyard dog Sheba; a lot of people here let their dogs off the leash, so I never bring more than 2 with me, too hard to control. A sunset off the west side of my house We found a cool little arroyo to sit and eat in.
More weird layered rocks in the arroyo. The canyon we hiked to is toward the left of this photo. Hard to see, but it was great. While everyone else ate, I hiked a little further down an arroyo and it was amazing. Weird, layered rocks everywhere.
At the end of this arroyo was a big dropoff with a little canyon or something on the other side.
